	Mechanical Design Rota Design provides expertise in the design and development of mechanical and electro--mechanical devices for a variety of sectors of industry. We also undertake re-engineering and value engineer assignments.



			Our comprehensive CAD facilities cater for simple 2D drawings through to complex 3D assemblies. We also employ visualisation tools such as e-drawings, animations and exploded views as powerful techniques to assist communication to customers and end-users.



	The 3D CAD systems are seamlessly interfaced to FEA enabling rapid design amendments and the introduction of what-if scenarios to achieve design optimisation and verification. Rota Design often employs rapid prototyping techniques to assist in the development of many products.

	Motion Simulation Rota Design currently works with a number of product designers to design mechanical operations and motorised assemblies. The forces generated by these motions may be simulated, to define if, and when, components within the assembly will fail. The process assists our design and application engineers to define and test safety critical elements.
			Our motion simulation software allows us to seamlessly assess the critical elements of the assembly using our FEA (finite element analysis) tools to further define areas of concern or to identify areas of over-engineed design inclusions. The combination of these, together with our intuitive approach to design, assures our customers that the design refinement processes we employ delivers an optimised cost-effective solution.
