Rota Design offers rapid prototyping service in June 2006.



Rota Design has invested in a rapid prototyping machine which will enable us to produce components and assemblies for clients as a bureau service or for our own internal use.

For a company which specialises in design, to be able to provide clients with a scale model of a concept or advanced design, is seen not only as a sales and marketing tool but a real advantage to assisting in the design evolvement process.

The machine works by extruding ABS plastic layer by layer to build up a 3D model. The model build material is supplied from a cassette in continuous filament form.

Rota Design has invested in the facility primarily to prove designs prior to manufacture. This provides all parties concerned with an enhanced degree of confidence that the design is fit for purpose and assists prevention of costly design errors.
