Rota Design further investment in 3D virtual modeling . . .



The expertise at Rota Design for virtual modeling in 3D began over a decade ago and comes from within the chocolate mould industry. The level of artistic skill and experience required to design a model from scratch is extremely high and personnel with these skills are at a premium. A second level of skill and knowledge is required to take the output data and manipulate it to create a solid body compatible with CAM (computer aided manufacture).

In January 2008 Rota Design invested in new modeling hardware and software combined with customised software developed in-house to streamline the process.

Consider the advantages of a virtual model over traditional sculpts both in terms of transportation, licensing approval, modification time and conversion to CAM format for manufacture.
