A Sanitation Project

Rota Design was approached to assist in the design for a worldwide supplier of portable toilets, service units, parts & accessories.

The product design brief was to improve the functionality and aesthetic quality of a sanitation unit and washbasin whilst providing optimum tank capacity and increased space within the existing cubicle.

The design also had to provide easy access for cleaning and reduce the risk of vandalism.

Following exhaustive investigation, rotational moulding in polyethylene provided a cost effective solution in comparison to traditional manufacturing methods and with a variety of benefits.

Throughout the project, engineers were kept abreast of progress and engineering design amendments through the extensive use of e--drawings.

Rota Design provided initially a conceptual CAD design later leading to full manufacturing drawings.
