Rota Design takes your concept and develops a model using 3D CAD software to provide you with a prototype rotatable model which may be e-mailed to your customer.

From the conceptual we develop a 3D engineering design with due regard for product functionality and the physical material characteristics and limitations of the process.

The specification and design are checked using finite element analysis FEA to provide a basic risk assessment and design verification. Where there is a risk of failure, the design is modified. In the case of doubt, the design would be submitted to a specialist agency for verification prior to manufacture.

Rota Design then design tooling based upon the likely machine type. Curved surfaces require plate development and we provide this data for direct download into a NC profile cutting machine. The detailed drawings for a fabricated mould are produced taking into account volumetric changes, shrinkage, release from the mould and cycle time optimisation. Once a prototype is produced, Rota Design assist with product testing and verification, and provide informed advice right through manufacture.
